“Children’s Parliament” on May 31. Lower Chamber to offer paper folders, ball pens, cookies and water

The “Children’s Parliament” event will take place on May 31, at the Palace of Parliament. According to a memorandum adopted on Wednesday by the Lower Chamber’s Standing Bureau, 300 children will take part in the event, its cost being estimated at approximately 1,800 lei.

According to the memorandum, the event seeks to offer youngsters the possibility to understand the importance of the role and function that the Romanian Parliament has within the democratic system, to get to know the doctrines of parliamentary parties, and to have a practical vision on what the parliamentary activity really represents.

The Lower Chamber will put at their disposal its plenary meeting hall and will ensure the sound system throughout the event. The participants will be given diplomas at the end of the event.

The memorandum also stipulates that 300 paper folders and 300 ball pens will be offered from the Lower Chamber’s stocks. There will also be a buffet with cookies and mini-cookies, sparkling and non-sparkling mineral water.
