Access to the programmes for stimulating the renewal of the National Car Park – “Rabla Classic” and “Rabla Plus” – will be granted to individuals and legal entities starting with May 18, one month earlier than in 2016 , announced the Minister of Environment, Gratiela Gavrilescu on Thursday, in the launching conference of the two governmental programmes.
“It is an extremely important moment for both the Ministry of Environment and the Environment Fund Administration and for the Romanians who are waiting for the two programmes. We promised that both the” Rabla Classic “programme, at its 13th edition, and Rabla Plus” will have fast procedures. Romanian individuals and legal entities can access the two programmes starting next week (Thursday, 18 May – ed.n.). We would have liked to launch the programmes in a real car showroom, but today we have organized in front of the Environment Ministry a mini car showroom, which can be admired by everyone. All Romanians want to live in a clean, non-polluting environment where CO2 emissions are zero,” Gavrilescu stressed.
According to the Minister of Environment, the subsidy granted under the “Rabla Plus” programme for electric cars amounts to 10,000 Euro.
“The novelty of this programme is that people who want to access Rabla Plus funding and have a car at home older than 8 years they do not necessarily have to scrap it. They can go directly to the car dealer and apply for the 10,000-Euro grant. On the other hand, citizens who have a car that is more than 8 years old and want to scrap it, they can add to the 10,000 Euro, another 6,500 lei from scrapping,” explained the Environment Minister. The official also specified that in the case of the purchase of a plug-in ecological hybrid vehicle, a subsidy of 4,500 lei will be granted this year. Up to 6,500 lei can be added to this amount if the customer wishes to scrap his 8-year-old car,” the Minister of the Environment said.
On the other hand, for the “Rabla Plus” programme, the value of the voucher granted in 2017 remains at 6,500 lei, similar to 2016 and 2015.
The budget allocated for this year for the “Rabla Classic” programme is 180 million lei and for Rabla Plus 45 million lei.
