Acting chair of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Raluca Turcan announced on her Facebook page that the Liberals have filed 150 amendments to the uniform pay draft law.
“PNL filed 150 amendments to correct the anomalies that appear in the Social Democratic Party (PSD – ruling, ed.n) draft law, but if adopted, I do not think the law will turn from a weak, flawed law into a good one. The uniform pay law mustn’t be a new patch, but a healthy and organic formula in which a historical problem can be solved, going beyond the logic of ‘who gives more,” wrote Turcan on Facebook.
She shows that the uniform pay law blocks the activity of the National Tax Administration Agency (ANAF), of the customs and museums all over the country.
“PNL supports the adoption of a uniform wage law, but the salary increases must be real, the modifications to the grids must be transparent and proportionate to the effort made by each employee. The new salary law must be oriented towards the goals and priorities announced and assumed by the political class for years, but never materialized!” says Turcan.
The acting chair of PNL affirms that a debate concerning this law, given its importance, should be held.
“Liviu Dragnea and PSD have not yet understood that important laws, such as the uniform pay law, are not to be conceived in (former Finance Minister) Mr. Valcov or (current Labour Minister) Mrs. Vasilescu’s office! The law must undergo a public debate up to its importance and not a mock debate. In addition, the representatives of all the targeted professional categories, all the representative trade unions should be invited to the council. It seems that for PSD the Valcov-Vasilescu consultation was enough. The result: all the professional categories in the public sector are already dissatisfied and turned on each other. The disagreements started with those in ANAF, continued with the customs’ and the museums’ employees, and when all the employees will find out how they will be affected, I think dissatisfaction will spread,” said Raluca Turcan.
