Africa Day, celebrated in Bucharest by a specific costume and gastronomy exhibition

The Group of African Diplomatic and Consular Missions accredited in Romania, in partnership with the National Library, organizes on Monday, May 22, 2017, between 12.00 and 14.00, the “Africa Day” on the topic: “Africa and Romania”.

According to a press release, the event will highlight Africa’s strategic importance at international level and the excellent cooperation between this Continent and Romania.

On this occasion, there will be organized an exhibition of traditional costumes, carpets and other objects, as well as a presentation of the gastronomy specific to the 12 participating countries: South Africa, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Ghana, Libya, Madagascar, Morocco, Nigeria, D.R. of Congo, Sudan and Tunisia.
