Although the leader of the Social Democrat Party (PSD) made it clear until recently that changing certain ministers of the Grindeanu Governent is imminent, he seems to have changed his mind. Liviu Dragnea stated at Bacau that he is satisfied by all the ministries’ activity and “there might be no reshuffle”.
However, the PSD leader warned that if certain areas need an urge, he will have no hesitation.
“There might be no reshuffle, but if we will find, as a result of an analysis, that certain areas need an urge, a higher pace than the current one, at least I will have no hesitation”, Dragnea stated.
“All the ministries satisfy me as a citizen, as a President of a party and as the Speaker of the Deputies’ Chamber”, Dragnea said.
Several days ago, the PSD President said that he will make an analysis on the ministries’ activity in the coming period, together with the ALDE leader and the PM Sorin Grindeanu. “We will have a first talk, after which, of course, we will have a discussion in the coalition also with our colleagues, to see if, in the current formula, the government program can be implemented issue by issue, exactly as it was approved by the Parliament. If we’ll reach this conclusion, no reshuffle will be needed. If we’ll reach a different conclusion, namely because of certain members of the Government – well, the reasons can be more – the implementation of one part, or of several arts of the government program is in danger, we can discuss about reshuffle in this case”, Dragnea stated.
“However, I believe we are talking too soon about reshuffles” PM Sorin Grindeanu reacted in an interview for Agerpres.
The press related, according to sources, that five members of the Grindeanu team could be changed in june. Two of the ministries about Dragnea publicly stated that he is not satisfied are Justice Minister Tudorel Toader and Finance Minister Viorel Stefan.
“PSD doesn’t need any secret service, it has all of them. It is a beloved party”
PSD’s Liviu Dragnea stated on Friday, in the context in which President Klaus Iohannis claimed that the DGPI Law is unconstitutional, that PSD doesn’t need any secret service because it has all of them, saying that it is “a beloved party, with much accessed headquarters”.
“There are bigger and more important services than DGPI. Otherwise, why should DGPI have needed CSAT’s approval?” PSD President Liviu Dragnea stated.
Liviu Dragnea said that “PSD doesn’t need any secret service, because it has all of them”.
“There is no secret service in Romania, who didn’t have and who doesn’t have a very tight cooperation with PSD. It is a beloved party, and it’s headquarter is very open and accessed. This is also why we feel much protected. We don’t need to have our secret service, we have all of them” Liviu Dragnea stated.
President Klaus Iohannis stated on Thursday that DGPI is a militarized institution and it cannot operate without CSAT’s approval, mentioning that, he will “ultimately” challenge the law approved by the Parliament to CCR (Constitutional Court of Romania – e.n.).
