Presidential Administration: Supreme Council for Country’s Defence meeting to take place Tuesday

The meeting of the Supreme Council for the Country’s Defence, chaired by President Klaus Iohannis, will take place on Tuesday, the day’s agenda including, among others, an analysis of the activity of the Romanian Intelligence Service in 2016, the Rules for the organization and functioning of the Antiterrorist Operative Coordination Center, as well as the White book on Defence.

Some of the other topics approached will regard the implementation of the EU’s Global Strategy (the defence and security dimension), the Romanian armed forces available for participation in missions and operations outside Romania in 2018, the plan for Army acquisitions 2017-2026 and the recent developments of the migration phenomenon and the main measures implemented at a national level.

The meeting will also approach other subjects of interest for national security, the quoted source mentions.
