On July 22 and 23, Enisala Fortress reopens its gates for a number of concerts held by domestic and international artists, for creative workshops, games and contests and for a fantastic fun park.
Under the patronage of the Tulcea County Council, the “Jean Bart” Tulcea Cultural Center and the Spectaculis Cultural Association will organize the festival entitled “ENISALA CASTELFEST 2017”, from July 22 to 23, this year, at the Enisala Fortress – the only medieval fortress in Dobrogea (located within Sarichioi commune, Tulcea County).
It will be a multicultural festival, being known that Tulcea is the county with the richest multicultural area in Romania, due to the 14 ethnicities living here in harmony. This is the reason for which multi-ethnical ensembles from this area will be invited to perform small specific cultural moments.
The festival will be an attraction for parents and for kids as well. A medieval city will be created within the event, designed to “transport” the visitors in the old times. Children will be the happiest; they will have the opportunity to learn about the life of the glorious times of the Enisala Fortress, they will learn how to pant on shields and they will participate in the activities held at the pottery or leather workshops, in theater spectacles and medieval fights. Those who will attend the workshops will be dressed in vintage clothes and will be able to learn a beautiful lesson about life 500 years ago. A beautiful fun park will be also available for kids; it will be opened in the two days of “ENISALA CASTELFEST 2017”.
The ambiance will be animated by MC Nino with games and contests proper for spectators of all ages. MC Nino, with his unique style, will also introduce the Romanian and foreign artists who will delight the audience with various musical programs, from folk-rock to tribute concerts in the memory of the music legends. Thus, international tribute bands will concert in the first day of “ENISALA CASTELFEST 2017”, on July 22, this year: Zen Garden will sing the songs of U2, New Jersey will bring Bon Jovi in front of you, while Queen Legend will make you to remember the legendary music band Queen.
On the second day of the festival, on July 23 this year, Romanian beloved artists will concert: Radu Captari, Accuarella Band, Zuralia Orchestra and Directia 5. Local music bands from Dobrogea, representing the cohabiting ethnic communities in Tulcea County, will concert every day on the stage of the festival, in the opening of the famous bands.
