The revenues from services of Vodafone Romania have reached EUR 178.6 million in April through June 2017 (first quarter of British fiscal year), up 2.9pct as compared to the same period of 2016, while the customers’ number made it to 9.57 million, reads a release by the company on Friday.
“Vodafone Romania recorded a total number of 9,579,522 customers (mobile services, voice and Internet of Things services) on 30 June 2017, which is an increase by 420,241 users against the similar period of 2016. Out of total number of clients, 8,871,482 are mobile services users,” the release reads.
On 30 June 2017, the mobile services’ subscribers represented 41pct of the total of the mobile services’ customers of Vodafone Romania, and the Vodafone mobile phone card users were 59pct. The weight of the pre-paid services’ users segment in total amount of mobile services’ customers grew by 0.3pct against the previous quarter.
The mobile data consumption went up 102pct in the quarter closed on 30 June 2017, compared to same period of 2016.
Vodafone Romania is reporting financial results depending on the British fiscal year, that commences on 1 April and ends on 31 March. The results reported on Friday correspond to first quarter of the current financial year, 2017-2018.
