ForMin Melescanu in Kazakhstan to attend Romania’s Day at “Expo 2017 Astana”

The Foreign Affairs Minister, Teodor Melescanu is paying a visit on Thursday and Friday to Kazakhstan to attend the official ceremony on Romania’s Day at the international “Expo 2017 Astana. Future Energy” and to mark 25 years of diplomatic relationship between the two countries, reads a release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs  (MAE).

Teodor Melescanu’s official agenda to Astana  includes a round of political consultations with the PM of the host country  Bakytzhan Sagintayev (photo R ),  with his Kazakh counterpart Kairat Abdrakhmanov and several meetings with officials and law-makers of Kazakhstan.

The Romanian head of diplomacy will also pay a visit to the Karaganda region where a significant community of Romanian nationals lives, the source adds.

“Expo 2017 Astana”, where Romania exhibits in own pavilion, shuts down on 10 September.
