The “Prince of Wales” Foundation Romania launches a support programme of the Romanian military injured in the operation and of those who retire, also announcing a fund raising campaign for their counseling or professional change back, the foundation informs on its Facebook page.
In accordance to the source, the foundation starts “a public campaign of support that aims to raise funds for two new programmes: one counseling programme for the military suffering from stress caused illnesses and another of professional change back, also by supporting them to kick off small trades through which they could contribute to the life of the communities they live in.”
The programmes will benefit from expertise from some British organisations that support the hero military.
The fund raising campaign will be ended at the final of September, at the same time with the Invictus Games in Canada – a sports competition initiated by Prince Harry dedicated to the soldiers around the world, injured in the operation theatres.
The foundation announces that it will issue a report on the funds raised and the way the money will be used, and makes public a bank account in Romanian currency RON where donations could be made: RO88 RZBR 0000 0600 1756 0756 (name: Fundatia Printul de Tara Galilor).
Likewise, the “Prince of Wales” Foundation announces it will support three Romanian servicemen injured in Afghanistan, with a view to have them participate in the Invictus Games and reminds the history of the Romanian soldiers’ missions in the world’s conflict zones.
Ever since the war in Kosovo, at the beginning of the ’90s until the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, 30,000 missions of the Romanian military within the NATO multinational forces took place, recalls the foundation. All in all, 28 Romanian military were killed and almost 200 were injured, says the “Prince of Wales” Foundation.
