Energy regulator ANRE Okays procedure of BRUA pipeline capacity reservation on Romania – Hungary segment only

The Regulation Committee of the National Energy Regulation Authority (ANRE) on Friday endorsed the handbook of the capacity reservation procedure on the segment between Romania and Hungary of the future BRUA pipeline, reads a communique of this authority released on Friday.

“ANRE has endorsed today in an extraordinary sitting the Decision No. 1123/28.07.2017 of approving the Handbook of the open-season procedure that is to be unfolded together with the Transgaz S. A. Medias National Natural Gas Transport Society and Földgázszállító Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság – FGSZ Ltd., with a view to allocate the incremental capacity at the interconnection spot of the National natural gas transport System of Romania with the homologue body of Hungary at Csanádpalota,” says the ANRE release.

Initially, this handbook should have also contained the open-season procedure on the Hungary-Austria segment, but at Hungary’s request, Transgaz demanded the ANRE to Okay the procedure for the Romanian-Hungary segment only.
