PG Lazar, European Funds Minister Plumb sign funding for Public Prosecution Service projects

Prosecutor General Augustin Lazar and Minister-delegate for European Funds Rovana Plumb have signed funding contracts for two projects worth about 69 million lei of European funds.

According to a General Prosecutor’s Service release, the two projects are “Strengthening the capacity of the Prosecution Service of enforcing the new hearing provisions in the criminal codes” – SIPOCA 53 and “Strengthening the capacity of the Prosecution Service of implementing evidence gathering procedures in informatics searches” – SIPOCA 54.

The two projects will be implemented in 36 months.

SIPOCA 53 and SIPOCA 54 are the first projects on structural funds initiated by the Prosecution Service and their value is the highest among the projects so far conducted by the Prosecution Service as beneficiary.
