Ministry of Foreign Affairs firmly condemns new ballistic missile test by North Korea

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs “firmly” condemns the conduct of a new ballistic missile test by North Korea.

According to a press release of the Ministry remitted on Saturday to Agerpres, “this action represents a new escalation of tensions in the Korean Peninsula and a major challenge towards peace at a global level,”.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its appeal to the authorities in Pyongyang to fully respect international norms in force and initiate concrete measures to remove nuclear armaments from the Korean Peninsula in a completely verifiable and irreversible manner, the release shows.

The US has detected, on Friday, a ballistic missile launch from North Korea, the Pentagon’s spokesperson announced.
