President Iohannis promotes to higher rank intel officers upon retirement

President Klaus Iohannis signed on Tuesday decrees promoting to higher rank three officials of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) upon their retirement.

Iohannis signed the decrees promoting to one-star brigadier general SRI colonels Mihaela Dumitrescu, Bogdan Pasare and Simion Cecan.

Also on Tuesday, the head of state signed decrees retiring from active duty two-star Major Generals Ovidiu-Tarpescu and Marius Harabagiu; one-star Brigadier Generals Gheorghe Badea, Mircea Mandrescu, Gheorghe Visan, Dan Angelo Lapadat, Constantin Zanfir; Rear-Admiral Catalina-Silviu Dumistacel, Fleet Admirals Tiberiu Fratila, Gigi-Cristinel Uce, Dan Haulica and Ioan Stanciulescu.

Iohannis also signed decrees terminating employment by the Interior Ministry of police quaestor Ioan Scripniciuc and retiring from active duty one-star Brigadier Generals Dorin Oltean and Marin Andreiana.
