The police officers of the Bucharest Police General Directorate, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bucharest Tribunal, carry out on Tuesday morning 14 searches in Romania and Bulgaria in a case of tax evasion in the field of automobile trade, the damage being about 1,360,000 lei, informs IGPR in a press release.
Locations targeted on Romanian territory are situated in Bucharest and Ilfov, Ialomita, Galati and Sibiu counties. There are also 11 arrest warrants brought into force.
The quoted source states that from the data and evidence administered, it is reasonable to assume that between December 2015 and March 2016 several people, through a Bulgarian trading company made intra-Community acquisitions of cars, which they had allegedly sold on Romanian territory, through some car parks.
By using the trade company in the neighboring country, the suspects have supposedly withheld the income from the sale, thus creating a 1,360,000 lei damage, approximately.
The home search at the headquarters of the Bulgarian trade company is carried out with the support of the Bulgarian authorities.
