The stage of the Army endowment programs and the budget revision were discussed at the extraordinary session of the Ministry of National Defence Collegial Board chaired by Minister Adrian Tutuianu, the Defence Ministry informs in a release to AGERPRES.
“The presentations highlighted the stage in unfolding the Army endowment programs and their projection in the short, medium and long term, in the context of the allocation for Defence of two percent of GDP over the next 10 years, as well as the substantiation for the Defence Ministry’s proposals for the budget revision,” the release said.
The international co-operation activities on the Ministry’s agenda were also reviewed, as well as the organization and functioning of the military education system.
The agenda of the meeting also included briefings on the staffing of the Ministry of National Defence and the prospects until the end of this year, as well as the status of requests for the transfer of several state-owned buildings under the management of the military institution.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the ministry’s departments and central structures.
The Ministry of National Defence Collegial Board has an advisory role and is empowered to analyze and propose to the Defence Minister measures related to documents concerning the major aspects of the country’s armed forces.
