Defence Minister Adrian Tutuianu and leaders of the Employers’ Association of Romanian Military Hardware Manufacturers (PATROMIL) have discussed the opportunities for PATROMIL business operators to take part in the endowment process of the Romanian Armed Forces.

According to a press statement released by the Ministry of National Defence (MApN), the meeting of Minister Tutuianu and members of the PATROMIL board of directors, led by general (ret.) Ion Magdalena, took place on Tuesday.

Discussed at the meeting were cooperation opportunities between MApN and business operators affiliated with PATROMIL or represented by this association.

The meeting underscored the ministry’s interest in increasing contributions of Romania’s national defence industry to the military endowment and procurement process and in the local maintenance of the armament and equipment systems.

Also attending alongside Tutuianu were Secretary of State for Armaments Florin Lazar Vladica and Deputy Chief of the General Army Staff Adrian Tonea.
