Romanian-Dutch dialogue on defence issues. Minister Adrian Tutuianu meets Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Stella Ronner-Grubacic

Minister of National Defence, Adrian Tutuianu, on Wednesday welcomed at the Ministry of National Defence (MApN) headquarters the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Stella Ronner-Grubacic.

Thus, according to a release of the MApN, this was a good occasion to strengthen the strategic dialogue on topics of mutual interest, especially in regard to aspects having to do with the cooperation between NATO and the EU, but also aspects of bilateral relation, with an emphasis on the development of cooperation in the technical-military field.

The Minister of Defence highlighted Romania’s interest in developing the relation with the Dutch partner and consolidating the bilateral cooperation through practical activities designed to train the personnel, but also in the development of some educational training programmes.

Both parties voiced their interest for a strengthened cooperation aimed at ensuring a climate of security and stability in Europe and also fighting terrorism, the said source mentions.

They also tackled topics regarding the programme of acquisitions carried out by the MApN for the modernization of the Romanian Army, giving that 2 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) were allotted to the Defence sector, reads the release.
