AEP President Barbu meets Jordanian Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs

The President of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) Daniel Barbu on Tuesday had an official meeting with the Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Musa Maaytah, occasion on which the Romanian official presented the new regulations regarding the financing of electoral campaigns.

The meeting took place in the context of the interest shown by the Jordanian official in the electoral field, with discussions focusing on the good practices in terms of funding political parties and electoral campaigns, in view of a future cooperation in this area between the two states.

“Related to this, the AEP President presented the new regulations regarding the financing of electoral campaigns adopted in the Romanian legislation in 2015 and implemented for the first time during the two general elections of 2016,” AEP also informs.
