The Embassy of Israel invites you to the movie: The Ronit Elkabetz Retrospection

The Embassy of Israel in Romania will organize the FOCUS: RONIT ELKABETZ Film Festival, with the support of the Embassy of France in Romania and the French Institute in Bucharest, an event dedicated to the famous Israeli artist who died last year.

The audience is invited to watch, on September 6, 8 and 10, at the Elvire Popesco Cinema, four outstanding movies which confirm the value of the late Ronit Elkabetz as one of the most important female personalities of the Israeli cinema: The Band’s Visit and Viviane Amsalem’s trilogy.

The famous actress, whose career was divided between Tel Aviv and Paris, was also noted as a screenwriter and film director. In 2014, GETT: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem was nominated for the Oscar in the “Best Foreign Movie” category, and in 2015 it received another nomination in the same category, at the Golden Globes.

For further details on the festival, you can follow the event on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2w716Qm or on the official webpage of the Embassy of Israel (@IsraelinRomania).
