Romanian Air Force receives three F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets

On Wednesday, Mircea Dusa, Secretary of State for Defence Policy and Planning, and Lieutenant General Laurian Anastasof, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, were present at the Monte Real Airbase in Portugal, where they attended the hand-over ceremony for three more fighter jets modernised to the F-16 MLU 5.2R standard.

By receiving the three fighter jets, the Romanian Air Force is completing Stage I of the procurement of F-16 Fighting Falcon multirole fighter jets, the MoD informs.

The official ceremony marking the delivery of the three fighter jets will take place in Romania, at the ‘Aviation Lieutenant Gheorghe Mociornita’ 86th Airbase in Fetesti, later next week.
