Korean Cultural Week kicks off with a Korean-Romanian Friendship Concert

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, together with all our partners (Romanian Athenaeum, Grand Cinema & More Baneasa from Bucharest, Cinema One from Brasov, “Carol I” Central University Library of Bucharest, Romanian-American University, Babes-Bolyai University, Bucharest National University of Arts and GISU Association) invites you and your loved ones to the Korean Cultural Week, a series of events which will take place from 16th to 21st of October, 2017.

We start our Cultural Week with the 2017 National Day celebration. Tonight we are holding the Korean-Romanian Friendship Concert, which creates a bridge between Koreans and Romanians and contributes to the promotion of friendly relationship between two countries.

During this Cultural Week, the audience will have the opportunity to watch for free three successful Korean movies, screened with English subtitles-(The Age of Shadows, KUNDO: Age of the Rampant and The Thieves) at the cinemas inside both Baneasa Mall and Coresi Shopping Resort. Anyone can book the tickets using the official website of the cinemas (you can choose the day, time and place using the interactive platforms). Anyone can find promotional materials (both video and photo) at the cinemas. At the same time, during the event, you can also enjoy a photography exhibition (Four Seasons of Dokdo), held in the foyers of Grand Cinema & More (ground floor) and of Cinema One Brasov.

On 21st of October, we invite everyone to the Final Round of the Korean Quiz Contest 2017, which will be held at the Aula of the “Carol I” Central University Library of Bucharest, starting from 3 PM. We have prizes not only for the 11 finalists, but also for the audience. However, take note that the seats are limited, so please check the Facebook page of the Embassy.

In addition, we will hold “Four Seasons of Dokdo”, a painting & photo exhibition which lasts one month. It is available for visiting until 20th of November inside the lobby of the Central University Library (Str. Boteanu, no.1, ground floor, Dacia Building).
