Premier Mihai Tudose announced at the beginning of Wednesday’s Government sitting that the economic growth in the third quarter of this year stands at 8.8 pct.
“Great piece of news (…) or very bad for those who wanted our violent end – 8.8 economic growth in the third quarter, as compared to last year’s third quarter, which makes us hope for a 6 percent total growth for 2017. Not only did we not die, as some wanted, but on the contrary, we are in an enviable, third position in the world,” PM Tudose stated.
According to the head of the executive the estimates for next year also look good.
“And since we are talking about economic growths and the budget, another bad piece of news (…) – bad for those who do not love us, good for those of good-faith – this year’s budget, this year’s budget exercise will close below 3 pct and (…) again, we are not doing badly for next year, quite the opposite, the figures look really well,” Tudose further affirmed.
