President Iohannis firmly condemns terrorist attack in Egypt ended in hundreds of fatalities and injured

President Klaus Iohannis on Saturday evening sent a condolence message to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, following the Friday terrorist attack on a mosque in Northern Sinai Peninsula ended in hundreds of fatalities and injured.

“Romania finds such extreme violence deeds, of no justification, unacceptable.I voice again our deep commitment for the combating at international level of extremism and terrorism. I hope that through our clustered effort we could promote tolerance and understanding, so that our citizens live in peace and safety,” reads the message by the Romanian president to his Egyptian counterpart.

Klaus Iohannis has also conveyed condolence and compassion thoughts to the Egyptian people and to the families affected by the terrorist attack, as well as his wishes for a quick recovery of the wounded.
