Dear Romanians,
The 1st of December is an important historic moment in the evolution of modern Romania. We must keep delivering to future generations a vision of a united nation, determined to build a better and more sustainable future. Our nation always finds energy, determination and strength to create a better future.
Our National Day has a special and significant meaning in our society, also marking an important historical event from 1918. Rooting for democracy perceived today as a national asset can now provide us with two important aspects of a sustainable economy: predictability and stability. These characteristics are essential in business development and in creating trade relations with partners from abroad.
In 2017, Romania registered a great economic advance and this growth is also reflected in the National Top of Companies made by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, the only organization empowered by an organic law to conduct such a ranking. The turnover obtained by the companies in 2017th edition of the National Top of Companies reached almost 150 bn. Euro and an operating profit of approximately 12, 5 bn. Euro. The turnover’s value is close to 2014th national GDP, which was of 150 billion.
We, as representatives of the business environment, congratulate the positive economic development of Romania. Romania must develop its efforts in public investments, in attracting European funds, in attracting investors and also in supporting the SMEs which make up almost all of our country’s economy.
We must look towards the future with confidence and find ways to build more and durable, so that Romania can become stronger and more prosperous!
