For 17 years, Carrefour invites children to take their dyes out of their pencil boxes and exercise their talent on the boards distributed in schools for free*The big prize of this edition: 20 excursions to the “Shreck’s Adventure” amusement park in London

Carrefour Romania awarded the talent of the children, by drawing lots, for the second time this year, out of more than 325,000 enrolled pupils at the 32nd edition of the already traditional thematic Drawing Contest. The drawings that succeeded to best illustrate the theme of the Christmas edition, the Rubbiz World, have been rewarded with prizes and original surprises offered by Carrefour together with the partners of the project. Thus, the great winners of the Christmas edition will benefit from a trip to one of the most unusual story locations – Shreck’s Adventure -, where they will have the opportunity to live by their own the real experience of the Rubbiz characters.

The 32nd edition gathered more than 325,000 pupils of the 0-8 grades, from more than 700 schools in the 20 cities where Carrefour carries out its business: Bucharest, Brasov, Ploiesti, Constanta, Iasi, Cluj, Braila, Suceava, Pitesti, Focsani, Oradea, Sibiu, Buzau, Drobeta, Botosani, Galati, Targu Jiu, Timisoara, Piatra Neamt and Ramnicu Valcea.

“We are glad to see how children’s enthusiasm to paint or to make thematic collages is increasing from year to year. This motivates us not only to continue this project, but also to bring to their attention themes that are as actual as possible, thus encouraging them to express their talent in a funny way. We awarded today the little artists of the Christmas edition, who will enjoy a real experience alongside the characters reinterpreted by them in these boards. We will exhibit these works both in our stores in the country and on the website of the drawing contest, in the online version” stated the Marketing Office, Chief Digital & IT at Carrefour Romania, Catalin Samara.

The contest took place for one month, from November 6 to December 6, in the general schools near the Carrefour hypermarkets across the country, as well as on the online platform dedicated to the contest (https://carrefour.ro/concurs-desene/), where the board could be drawn on the website or directly registered, without being needed to print it.

The 2017 Christmas edition invited the children to test their talent and creativity by exploring the Rubbiz World to win one of the over 3,600 prizes available. The big prize of the contest is offered by Carrefour and consists of 20 excursions at the “Shreck’s Adventure” amusement park in London, where the children from the cities in which Carrefour is present will have the opportunity to live a unique experience with their families, in the company of the most loved characters in their favorite cartoons.
