BMW Group Romania and MINI dealer deliver record fleet of 135 vehicles to British American Tobacco

The end of the year marked the sale of an unprecedented fleet for BMW Group Romania and the MINI dealer of  Automobile Bavaria Group: 135 MINI vehicles will become the official fleet of glo, the newest and most innovative tobacco heating product dedicated to the adult smokers in the portfolio of the leader of the Romanian tobacco market, British American Tobacco. The fleet will consist of 120 MINI Cooper Hatch 5-door models and 15 MINI Cooper D Countryman.

This event marks two absolute records for BMW Group Romania: it is the largest MINI fleet in the Southeastern Europe, the largest BMW Group fleet in Romania, and implicitly the largest punctual delivery to a customer. The 135 cars have been delivered over two weeks, in November and December.

“The use of the MINI models as a promotional tool shows the attractiveness of our brand. The ‘cool’ factor of the MINI models is unmatched in the segment. And it is completed by a very strong service offer which includes advantageous financing and service solutions” stated Wolfgang Schulz, General Manager at BMW Group Romania.

The new models will be used by the glo team across the country. Because glo heats tobacco in Neosticks instead of burning it, it creates natural-flavored vapor which contains on average of 90-95% less harmful substances than the cigarette smoke. glo produces less odor than a cigarette and it doesn’t generate ash*.

“glo means simplicity and innovation: one device, one button, no external charging device and a battery which is enough for the consumption up to 30 Neosticks, if it is completely charged. We chose MINI without hesitation, because glo values are perfectly found in the ergonomics and the avant-garde spirit that characterize this car” stated Richard Widmann, Area Director Southern Central Europe at British American Tobacco.
