Parliament: State budget and social security bills for 2018 adopted by articles

The state budget and social security bills for 2018 were adopted on Thursday, by articles, in the plenary sitting of Parliament, with the final vote to be cast on Friday 12:00 EET.

The MPs approved the budgets for all large employers, among which the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Waters and Forests, the Ministry of Research and Innovation, the Ministry for Romanians Abroad, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Public Consultations and the Ministry for the Relation with Parliament.

In the case of the Energy Ministry they also adopted an amendment on the allocation of 10 million lei for a research programme in the nuclear field.

The MPs also voted, among others, by articles, the budgets for the Romanian Academy, the National Sanitary Veterinary and for Food Safety Authority, the State Secretariat for recognition of merits of fighters against the communist regime in Romania between 1945 and 1989, the National office for Prevention and Combating Money Laundering, the Romanian National Radio Company, the Romanian National Television Company, Agerpres.
