Romania 100 Platform presents a comparison between the voluntary health insurance during the Ciolos Government and the current one, stating that “the PSD-ALDE fiscal revolution has led to a nearly 200% increase in health contribution for the most vulnerable Romanian citizens”. While the monthly paid amount in 2016 was RON 68.75, it reaches RON 190 per month from January 1, for those who want to receive medical services.
“The PSD-ALDE fiscal revolution has led to a nearly 200% increase in health contribution for the most vulnerable Romanian citizens. The care for people shown by PSD, which declares itself to be a left party, is translated into limiting the access to health services for the families living in poverty, for the unemployed people who don’t receive an allowance or for the day workers” is the message posted by the Romania 100 Platform on Facebook.
According to the chart accompanying the message, the amount paid in 2016 for the voluntary health insurance was RON 68.75 per month, while it reaches RON 190 per month from January 1, 2018, increasing by 189 percent.
The voluntary health insurance is paid by day workers, unemployed people who don’t receive an allowance, poor families that don’t have a minimum guaranteed income, single-parent families that don’t have a job, in order to receive medical services.
Romania 100 Platform, founded by the former PM Dacian Ciolos, announced at the beginning of the year that will present daily synthetic comparisons and analyzes showing the differences between the technocrat government and the PSD-ALDE governments.
