PG Lazar on Justice laws: I believe in a historic, wise decision of Constitutional Court

Romania’s Prosecutor General Augustin Lazar said on Thursday he is certain that the Constitutional Court (CCR) will provide a “historic, wise” decision in the case of the amendments to the laws of justice.

“The Public Service Ministry is further very careful, very attentively following the verification procedure of the constitutionality of these laws. We have provided the competent bodies with all of the suspicions of unconstitutionality we had and we are certain that the Constitutional Court will give a reference decision, a decision undoubtedly historic, a wise decision, I believe, in a case that is under the scrutiny of the Romanian public opinion,” Augustin Lazar said as he was entering the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM)’s building.
