PM Dancila says she did not discuss with US ambassador on laws of justice

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said on Wednesday that in her recent meeting with US Ambassador in Bucharest Hans Klemm she did not discuss the laws of justice with him, but only about “some principles”.

“There were a few principles, there was no discussion on the laws of justice, so I did not have a discussion with the ambassador on the laws of justice. We discussed a few principles, not regarding the laws of justice,” the prime minister said at the PSD headquarters after the meeting of the National Executive Committee.

On the other hand, the prime minister excluded merging the DNA with the DIICOT.

Justice was also discussed at a meeting on Monday of US Ambassador Hans Klemm and Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, according to a reply by the US Embassy in Bucharest to a request for information from AGERPRES on 12 February.

Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and US Ambassador in Bucharest Hans Klemm on Monday discussed the possibility of lifting the short-stay visa requirements for Romanian citizens travelling to the US in 2018, by including Romania in the Visa Waiver Program.
