PM Dancila to meet the presidents of the European Commission, European Council and European Parliament next week in Brussels: We must show openness and cooperation

Premier Dancila stated on Thursday, at the start of the Government meeting, that during her visit in Brussels next week she will meet European Commission President Jean Claude Junker, European Council President Donald Tusk, and European Parliament President Antonio Tajani. Dancila emphasised that Romania must show openness and cooperate with European Union member states and with its strategic partners.

“Next week, in Brussels, I’ll meet Mr Junker, President of the European Commission, Mr Tusk, President of the European Council, Mr Tajani, President of the European Parliament, and European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu,” Dancila said at the start of the Government meeting.

The Premier emphasised that it is important for Romania to show openness and cooperate with EU member states and with the states with which our country has strategic partnerships.

“I believe it is important for us to show openness and cooperation with the European Union member states but also with the states with which we have strategic partnerships,” Dancila added.

Likewise, the Premier mentioned she had meetings with several ambassadors, meetings that will continue.

“We will intensify the foreign policy actions and the economic relations with partner states. We will stress the European dimension of the governance, we will try to take an active part in the discussions on the economic future and we will show special attention and will mobilise to raise the rate of absorption of European grants,” Dancila added.
