Prime Minister Viorica Dancila announced on Monday that she is to pay a visit on 27 February to Chisinau, where she will carry out talks with her Moldovan counterpart Petru Filip about strengthening the cooperation of the two Governments.
“In the European Parliament I strongly endorsed the strengthening of the relation between us, but, at the same time, I supported the European path of the Republic of Moldova. I am convinced that important steps are needed in order to put into practice this desire. (…) My first trip, after going to the European institutions, will be in the Republic of Moldova. Thus, on 27 [February] I will go to Chisinau and I will have the first talk with Mr Prime Minister Filip, we’ll see how can we strengthen the cooperation between Romania’s Government and that of the Republic of Moldova and I am convinced that this thing will be an important step in strengthening the relations between the two countries,” Dancila stated at the General Assembly of Romania’s Villages Association, that was also attended by mayors of the Republic of Moldova.
