ForMin Melescanu, Sorin Cimpeanu sign collaboration protocol between MAE and National Council of Rectors

Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Melescanu and chair of the National Council of Rectors Sorin Cimpeanu signed on Thursday a collaboration protocol, a document that will ensure a strengthened framework of cooperation between the representative institution of the Romanian diplomacy and the academia, adapted to the development of increasingly various tools of cultural diplomacy, as well as to the major objectives assumed by the Romanian state in the foreign politic and education areas.

Melescanu underlined the interest of the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) for a “constant” dialogue with the young generation, a release of the MAE sent to AGERPRES informs. “I want to reiterate the openness of the Foreign Affairs Ministry for a constant dialogue with the research areas of Romania and for a clearer articulation of our foreign priorities agenda with universities’ research projects,” the head of the Romanian diplomacy stated, as quoted in the release.

According to Sorin Cimpeanu, the protocol will offer new collaboration tools in order to promote the achievements of Romania’s education and research area.
