La Strada Street Mall Concept continues to expand on the Romanian market with two new projects in Bucharest and Brasov

La Strada Street Mall Concept, the developer of one of the first street mall projects in Romania, announces the construction of two new shopping centers to be delivered by the end of this year.

The first La Strada in Romania was inaugurated in Popesti Leordeni in December 2016, after an investment of approx. EUR 5 million.

The developers of the La Strada concept are currently working at the projects La Strada Street Mall Concept Brasov and La Strada Street Mall Concept Militari, the first one to be delivered in Q2 2018, and the second one in Q4, according to the development plan. The investment in the projects planned for this year amounts to EUR 10 million.

“La Strada Street Mall Concept brings new valences to the modern trade and was born as a result of the Romanian real estate market’s dynamics, since it is in a continuous development and change. If until recently, the large shopping centers were extremely popular in Romania, annually attracting massive investments, we entered a new era of the modern retail, focused on smaller customized projects, on proximity and areas with high population density, such as the new residential areas. This trend is due, on the one hand, to the fact that many of the Romanian cities no longer support large projects, and on the other hand the changes in the consumer habits which draw a new direction in retail. La Strada Concept is a result of the new trends” stated the representatives of the La Strada Street Mall Concept.

La Strada shopping centers are unique in terms of configuration, areas, and places where they are built, namely new residential areas with a large number of inhabitants.

The first La Strada Street Mall Concept to be delivered this year is the one in Brasov. Built on an area of 5,000 sqm, La Strada Street Mall Concept Brasov will provide approx. 2,000 sqm for commercial premises. The project is located in the Bartolomeu district, very close to the Avantgarden 3 residential complex, an area with young population and effervescent economic activity. For renting the commercial premises in La Strada Street Mall Concept Brasov, an agreement was concluded with the consultancy company Coldwell Banker Brasov.

“It’s a pleasure to work for such a project and we are glad to help develop a new retail concept for urban agglomerations” stated the Coldwell Banker representatives.

La Strada redefines the collaboration between the developer and the trader, providing the later with a new concept, modular areas and maintenance costs that are lower than in a classic mall, in a similar urban agglomeration.

The La Strada projects are designed as new urban centers dedicated to the community, in order to bring together a wide range of customized, accessible services, including opportunities for the day-to-day activities, for parents and children.
