The number of companies that were removed from the registrar dropped by 24.58 per cent down to 82,295 in 2017 compared with 109,113 in the previous year, according to statistics recorded by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).
Most removals were recorded in the Bucharest Municipality – 13,475 companies (by 33.81 less compared with 2016) and also in the counties of Iasi – 3,720 (minus 20.73 per cent), Cluj – 3,602 (minus 40,50 per cent) and Dolj – 3,389 (plus 1.47 per cent).
On the opposite side of the scale, the smallest number of removals from the Trade Register were recorded in the counties of Ialomita – 577 (by 17.34 per cent less than in 2016), Giurgiu (minus 27.75 per cent) and Covasna – 681 (minus 41.49 per cent).
