The United Kingdom’s Ambassador in Bucharest, Paul Brummell met on Tuesday with students, Master’s and PhD students and teaching staff with the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA), where he gave a lecture on bilateral partnership, followed by a debate on the British education system, reads a SNSPA press release.
The debate focused on topical themes related to the British higher education system, the top rankings of the UK universities in international charts, the pursuit of SNSPA’s partnerships with British universities, such as the one with Sheffield University or about Brexit.
At the end of the event, the rector of SNSPA, Professor PhD Remus Pricopie handed Ambassador Brummell the “SNSPA 25 plus 1” diploma and anniversary medal, for special merits in developing and promoting international relations.
“We award this medal to personalities in the Romanian or international space who represent examples for our students. Mr. Ambassador Paul Brummell is a role model for the SNSPA community and the Romanian society,” Remus Pricopie said.
The British diplomat confessed that among all the activities on his agenda, the meetings with students give him the greatest satisfaction.
It is a joy to me to see that you are Romania’s future and I want to wish you all good luck. You have an important role in society, he said.
