The Halewood wines will be part of the Alexandrion Group portfolio

Alexandrion Group has signed an agreement for the acquisition of the Halewood Group’s portfolio of Romanian wines. The transaction is expected to be finalized within the next three months.

Halewood Group is present in Romania since 1987 and it developed a high quality portfolio of awarded wines. As for the recorded volume, the company is among the top ten producers on the local market and ranks the second in terms of wine export. This position is the result of serious professional efforts performed by a well-trained team of employees.

“By this acquisition, Alexandrion Group will become one of the strongest and most competitive players on the Romanian market. We are a company with tradition, which invests in Romania and pays utmost attention to the needs and requirements of its consumers. We are very selective with the businesses that we include in our portfolio, and we are confident that this decision will please our consumers” stated Nawaf Salameh, CEO at Alexandrion Group.

Alexandrion Group is the leader of the Romanian spirits industry, with an important portfolio of brands covering all the segments of the market. The acquisition of the Halewood range of wines brings added value to the company, representing a new step in the local and international development and expansion strategy. The group has assumed a continuous investment policy, paying a special attention to the way of promoting the brands, to the production and distribution process, and last but not least, to the involved specialists.

Halewood International PLC will continue to develop the existing portfolio of international spirits brands. Halewood wants to thank to all the partners who supported the company over the time.
