Social Democratic Party (PSD) President Liviu Dragnea has warned the members of the Dancila Cabinet, stating that those who do not assume also the issues related to decentralisation cannot be members of the Cabinet. In fact, Liviu Dragnea’s agenda on Thursday included a discussion with the ministers on this topic.
“The discussion won’t be complicated, I’m not a harsh man, but I’m rigorous and exigent and I can’t look in the eyes two years from now and tell you: I couldn’t, the ministers didn’t want to,” Liviu Dragnea stated on Thursday, Mediafax informs.
He also issued a warning for the members of the Dancila Cabinet.
“When they accepted to become ministers, they accepted all the issues of governance. (…) They either support the governing programme that they assumed and release sectoral development, or if they don’t they can no longer stay in the Government. This isn’t a pell-mell Government, but one that is implementing a complicated governing programme. Decentralisation is no longer a game,” Dragnea added.
Interior Minister Carmen Dan, Deputy Premier and Development Minister Paul Stanescu, Environment Minister Gratiela Gavrilescu, Justice Minister Tudorel Toader, Agriculture Minister Petre Daea, Labour Minister Olguta Vasilescu, and Premier’s advisor Sevil Shhaideh, who was previously Development Minister backed by Liviu Dragnea, were among the ministers who arrived at the Government headquarters on Thursday in order to take part in the talks on decentralisation.
