PNL to table simple motion against European Grants Minister next week

National Liberal Party (PNL) President Ludovic Orban announced on Wednesday evening that the Liberals will table a simple motion against European Grants Minister Rovana Plumb, accusing that Romania risks losing two billion euro in European grants “because of the incumbent Government’s inability to observe the minimum requirements in what concerns the absorption of European grants.”

“We decided to table next week the motion against the European Grants Minister, in the Senate. The motion sounds the alarm that there is an extremely great danger for Romania to lose hundreds of millions in European grants, for European grants to be disengaged on several programmes, European grants that could go up to two billion euro,” Ludovic Orban said.

He stated that the loss of the two billion euro is caused by the Government’s inability to observe certain requirements in what concerns the absorption of EU grants.

“Romania risks losing two billion euro in European grants because of the incumbent Government’s inability to observe the minimum requirements in what concerns the absorption of European grants,” the PNL leader added.
