The Mexican Government donates books in Spanish to the “Mexic” School

On Wednesday, March 28, the Mexican Government donated a Mexican flag and books in Spanish for the “Mexic” School’s library through H.E. Ambassador Guillermo Ordorica.

At the event, the Ambassador held a presentation on the cultural issues and Mexican customs for the students of the above mentioned educational unit. Also, a screening of a movie made by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism took place, in order to promote the tourist attractions and distinctive elements of the Mexican country.

In their turn, the students of the “Mexic” School performed an artistic moment, in which poems were recited and emblematic songs of the Hispanic world were re-interpreted.

The end of the festivity was marked by the award ceremony of the participation diplomas for the students enrolled by now to the artistic creation contest Éste es mi México/This is my Mexico, an initiative of the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME), whose central theme was Mexico: history, traditions, gastronomy, music.
