Prime Minister Viorica Dancila has ordered the establishment of an e-Government steering committee under a decision published on Monday in the Official Journal.
The e-Government Steering Committee, an inter-ministerial committee, will deal with the integrated coordination of e-Government interventions at the level of the bodies responsible for the implementation, management and operation of the electronic public services related to life events, as defined under Government Ordinance 245/2015 for the approval of the National Strategy on the Digital Agenda for Romania 2020.
Another objective of the committee is to define the action plan for the coherent digitisation of public services related to life events in line with the results of the project “Establishing the Framework for the Development of E-Government Tools (EGOV).”
At the same time, the newly established body will aim to prioritise e-Government interventions at the level of the bodies responsible for the implementation, management and operation of e-public services related to life events, in accordance with the results of the project “Establishing the framework for the development of eGovernment tools (EGOV).”
The e-Government Steering Committee will be headed by the secretary general of the Government, as chair, two deputies, a state secretary with the Ministry of Communications and Information Society and a state secretary for information technology at the level of the entire central public administration within the Government General Secretariat, and it will be represented at the level of the secretary of state or a senior civil servant from the foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), Ministry of Defence (MApN), Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Public Finance, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Regional Development and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Also sitting on the committee will be an official of the National Companies Registry Office, at the level of general manager or deputy general manager, and the chair or a senior official of the National Economic Forecast Board (CNP).
