PM Dancila meets Romanian students in Vatican: Gov’t to support endowment of “Pio Romeno” College library

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Saturday had a meeting with the Romanian students of the Pontifical Universities, in the context of her visit to Rome May 10-13, during which she promised that the Bucharest Executive will help with the endowment of the library of the “Pio Romeno” Pontifical College.

“The Prime Minister underscored the importance of the “Pio Romeno” Pontifical College in the formation of Romanians studying with the Vatican Universities and in strengthening relations between Romania and the Holy See. The Prime Minister’s speech highlighted such aspects related to her visit to the Holy See and her being received by Pope Francis, during which meeting they focused on the events related to the Centenary this year of Romania’s Great Union and the desire of the Romanian Government to increase the Romanian presence at Vatican, through a series of cultural, academic and religious events,” the Government informed in a press release.

At the same time, during the meeting held at the headquarters of the “Pio Romeno” College, Prime Minister Dancila promised the students that the Romanian Executive will help with the endowment of the library of this Pontifical College.
