The list of the third edition of the RO-Wine Festival includes no less than 50 exhibitors in the standard area; each of them will present a maximum of 5 wines carefully selected. Also this year, there will be a large number of foreign producers at the festival, so consumers will have access to exceptional wines, some of them in extremely limited editions, which are present in Romania for the first time. Thus, wines from the United States of America, New Zeeland, Argentina, China, Italy, France, Portugal or Republic of Moldova will delight the visitors with their special taste and flavor.

For the first time at RO-Wine, the elite product of the Alexadrion Group, the Brancoveanu vinars (brandy – e.n.), will welcome those who love wine distillate products in an area specially created for this occasion.

“For the third edition of the RO-Wine Festival, we assured ourselves that only those wines that can contribute to educating the taste, for all the customer categories, from occasional wine consumers to connoisseurs, will reach in front of the visitors. However, there are several meetings at the festival, not only those between visitors and wines or producers, but also with internationally renowned foreign experts who will help the participants to step to the stage of the sensory knowledge of the wine and enter its deep world, the history, culture and art of wine” stated the RO-Wine organizer Marinela V. Ardelean.

“This weekend we’ll meet at RO-Wine, and I just can’t wait to discover together the tastes of some of the most interesting wines. We are almost ready with the arrangement, we establish all the details, and I hope we will be as many as possible! You really can’t miss this unique experience and meeting with some absolutely fantastic wines! I am excited about this world, I must admit. So, see you on May 19 and 20 at Fratelli Studios!” stated Liviu Popescu, RO-wine organizer.

In the VIP area we can find original selections of some of the best wines, where more than 100 exclusive labels are waiting to be discovered. Participants can also see presentations of some prestigious wines, held by international experts. The wines selected by Helmuth Koecher, Bruno Vespa’s wines, the Champagne selection belonging to 12 producers, and the extreme wines, are just a few of the exclusive things of the VIP area.

“Extreme wines are produced from grapes that grow quite far from the standard conditions – on hostile soils, at high altitudes or too close to important waters, in places where it is too cold or too hot, generally in areas where nobody expects to make wine. Some of these wine are hardly available even in the countries of origin, so, for the passionate ones, RO-Wine is a rare, maybe unique opportunity to meet them” added Marinela V. Ardelean.

Satruday will start with the workshop held by Stefano Saderi called “What is quality?… In a profitable wine business”, Starting at 11.00, he will speak to the wine lovers about what a quality wine means, or what a quality business in the wine field means. Starting at 15.00, we can find everything about extreme wines, at the workshop held by Roberto Bartolomeo Lepori, entitled ”Extreme wines from heroic viticulture”.. The selection consists of Italian wines, from those who come from an altitude of 1,000 meters in the Southern Tyrol or on the steep slopes of Tremonti, to those from the hostile soil of Etna.

The series of special events will end with the masterclass called “The Wine in The Future”, held by Helmuth Koecher at 17.00, “The Wine Hunter” and the founder of Merano Wine Festival, exclusively dedicated to the super-premium wines.
