“Scarred Hearts” film wins Grand Prix of “Jewish Motifs” International Film Festival in Warsaw

The movie “Scarred Hearts”, directed by Radu Jude won on Sunday evening the Grand Prix of the “Jewish Motifs” International Film Festival in Warsaw, at its 14th edition, which took place 23-27 May, 2018, informs a press release of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, a partner institution of the festival.

At this year’s edition there were two Romanian films competing for the Golden Warsaw Phoenix: “Scarred Hearts” directed by Radu Jude and “Nussbaum 95736” directed by Laszlo Csibi who was also present at the screenings.

The prize, worth 15,000 zloty (3,500 euro) is financed by Warsaw’s Mayor, Hanna Gronkiewicz Waltz and was awarded at the festival’s closing ceremony, held on Sunday evening in POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
