The Strategy Summit 2018 will be held in Sinaia

This week, the most known resort on the Prahova Valley, Sinaia, will host the most important summer event for the Romania energy industry. This is Energy Strategy Summit 2018, which will take place on June 6 and 7. Being at its fourth edition, the summit will bring together in the Prahova County the most influent decision-makers in the energy industry, to perform an analysis of the national, European and corporate strategies.

Energy Strategy Summit 2018 will bring together 30 speakers – high officials of the Government and of the regulatory authorities, top managers of the large companies, competent representatives of the professional associations, Romanian and foreign experts of the academic and university environment.

Thus, some of the topics to be debated at this summer are related to the current trends in the energy field, Romania’s strategic position in the local and European context, the alternative and obligatory objectives and targets currently pursued by the Government for the 2020-2030 period, the decisions taken at the latest working groups of the institutions, related to the new primary and secondary legislation in the energy field. These analyzes aim to reach clearer and clearer conclusions regarding Romania’s energy future and the strategic directions to be followed by companies, both on short term and on medium and long term.

It seems that these conclusions can be easily reached, since the organizers of the event announced that Energy Strategy Summit 2018 will benefit from a remarkable presence of the speakers; well-known names and key-note speakers are already confirmed by both the authorities and the industry.

The most influent decision-maker in the Romanian energy industry will actually meet in Sinaia at the largest professional debate dedicated to the national, European and corporate strategies, with plenary sessions, sector workshops, individual presentations and interactive debates that are extremely interesting.

There will be plenary sessions where the leaders of the most dynamic companies can express their opinions on the investment, integration and transformation strategies. Also, the most prominent sectors of the moment will be analysed, from Oil & Gas – exploration, transport, processing, to Electricity – production, transport, distribution and supply, renewable energy, competition, smart cities, energy efficiency or cogeneration.

It was announced that the event in Sinaia will also be attended by the Ministry of Energy, Anton Anton, the PM’s Counsellor with attributions in the energy field, Florin-Radu Ciocanelea, the ACROPO President Constantin Gheorghe, as well as the Vice President of the National Regulatory Authority in the Energy Field, Zoltan Nagy-Bege and the General Manager for Oil and Gas of the National Agency for Mineral Resources, Sorin Gal.

At the same time, since the summit brings together the most influent decision-makers in the Romanian energy field, compared to the previous editions, the works will also include a remarkable event. This is the Dinner Gala, scheduled on June 6 at the Foisor Palace, for a high level networking aiming to explore the trend and opportunities in the region, related to the future of the energy industry.

Thus, Energy Strategy Summit 2018 will be more than a high level meeting for the Romanian and regional energy industry, its purpose being to define and clarify the short, medium and long term targets considered by Romania in the local, regional and global context.
