At the “Future in Retail” conference, the DAAS representatives, as well as representatives of the international partners from the retail industry, revealed the latest trends on the market
Last days, DAAS International Group, the market leader in commercial cold, held the second conference dedicated to the retail industry, and on this occasion, it brought to discussion an intensely discussed topic: the impact of the technology on the consumer’s habits. Thu, specialists from DAAS and form international equipment producers such as Epta, Wiesheu, Ubert, Romcooling or Tarkett, presented to the audience the latest technologies and marketing tactics.
Who are the buyers in the future and what kind of services are they looking for? The “Future in Retail” conference found the answer to this question following some analysis of the life style of the today’s consumers. Thus, in the future, the retailers from all over the world will have to adapt their services and business strategy so that they will align to the constant changes caused by the digital environment. In this context, the speakers at the conference presented innovative solutions that help the big retailers to keep their customers’ loyalty. Moreover, a number of trends and directions that will influence the Romanian and global retail industry have been presented at the event.
“One of the main trends identified for the retail market is the experience that the consumer can live in stores, an experience that must bring added value to him. In addition, two extremely important factors for today’s and tomorrow’s buyers are the information and a better efficiency of the time spent on shopping. Tus, at this conference, we had the opportunity to present to the audience a number of unconventional ways, such as integrating the augmented reality into the shopping experience, digital solution to track the products in stores, or to be informed, as well as stores that focus themselves on outstanding tactile and visual experiences that will enter the Romanian market in a short time, for sure” stated Daniel Mocanu, CEO at DAAS International Group.
Some of the more and more adopted solutions by the modern retail that were presented at the conference are the click & collect equipment, a unit that allows customers to order the products they want by online means, and then to pick them up directly from the store. The DAAS representatives have also detailed the mobile business concept – which refers to place container stores that can have the role of permanent proximity stores, or pop-up store. “This kind of stores can be easily transported anywhere and can function independently, without a cashier. This is why I believe that in a few years they will be on the top preferences of the big retailers that will use them as a tactic to promote a new store, a way of teasing the public” added Lucian Negoiu, Sales Manager at DAAS international Group.
