Dino Parc Rasnov, the largest dinosaur park in Southeastern Europe, has completed three years of activity. Since its opening in June 2015 until today, the park registered over 1 million visitors!
The turnover of Dino Park Rasnov has evolved positively from one year to another. The park registered a turnover increase of 12.36% in 2017 compared to 2016, namely from RON 9,881,144 to RON 11,102,560. The turnover remained on an upward trend also in the first quarter of 2018, with a value of RON 747,676.79, increasing compared to the same period of the previous year when it was RON 636,049.28.
“The community of dinosaurs and paleontology enthusiasts is growing every day, and this can only make us happy. Dinosaur lovers are of all ages, from 3 years old children to parents and grandparents, and this is the main reason for the success to have more than one million visitors. We still want to attract the attention of new visitors, but we also take care of those who constantly visit us, for whom we prepare novelties every season”, stated the Manager of Dino Park Rasnov, Adrian Apostu.
In the recent years, Dino Parc Rasnov has for the first time reproduced, in natural size, the world’s largest flying animal (pterosaur), Hatzegopteryx Thambema, discovered in the Land of Hateg, which could surround the Earth by flying without stopping. Moreover, two more original exhibitions dedicated to children and also to the adults were opened this year in the park: the educational exhibition called “Padurea Magica a Dinozaurilor” (e.n. – “The Magic Forest of Dinosaurs”), whose main theme is the protection of the forest and the education of the children regarding the importance of the trees within the ecosystem, and the 100-year-old toys collection, launched on the occasion of the International Children’s Day.
The exhibitions at Dino Parc Rasnov were organized in partnership with the National Museum of Natural History Grigore Antipa, the University of Bucharest, the Romanian Geological Institute, the Szekler National Museum, the Brasov County History Museum and private partners.
Dino Parc Rasnov is a leisure area and an outdoor museum, located on Cetatii Street, near the Rasnov Fortress. In addition to an impressive route, with 55 dinosaurs in natural size and animatronic dinosaurs, the park has playgrounds, tree houses, a 9D cinema, international exhibitions and many other interactive areas.
