Estonia counts for over 200 consulates in more than 87 countries, I’m honoured that now a new honorary consulate is being inaugurated here, in Constanta. Estonia and Romania have a very good relationship and this is a paramount moment to enhancing our relationship. (…) Mr. Bobe is a well-known, eminent person in his society and that is why we are very honoured for him to be our honorary consul. You are a distinguished lecturer, a noted specialist and a deputy rector of the Ovidius University. And I’m certain that in your position, we will have as tight bonds as possible between Romania and Estonia, in particular in the university research and education. Hopefully this experience swap between scholars and students, between Estonia and Romania, bring but benefits, Ratas said in the opening of the event, according to Agerpres.

I’ve had talks with the Estonian Prime minister in connection with the enhancement of the economic cooperation, I’ve talked about Romania’s wish to share of its experience and expertise, re digitisation, about Romania’s wish to share from Estonia’s experience, re the takeover of the Council of European Union’s Presidency, we’ve signed a Memorandum between the Ministry of Business Milieu, Trade and Entrepreneurship and the Estonian Investment Agency, we’ve inaugurated the first direct seasonal flight between Tallinn and Constanta and here we are, today, we open together the honorary consulate of Estonia. These are important steps, showing our cooperation will and I hope, I’m confident that these steps will be followed by other steps, so that the cooperation between the two states be more and more tight and materialise in significant steps in various activity fields in Romania and Estonia,” Dancila said.
