Fly Go and TBI Credit launch the first digital financing product in Romania for the purchase of holidays in installments

Fly Go, one of the most important online tourism agencies in Romania, and TBI Credit, part of TBI Bank, launch the first 100% digital financing product available in Romania for the purchase of touristic products and services. The new payment method is available from the beginning of June and can be directly accessed from the Fly-Go.ro website, without being necessary to go to the bank or to the tourism agency.

This payment method is based on an online financing flow allowing the customer identification through a short video call and by electronically signing the documents. The entire process takes less than 10 minutes and is available non-stop. The financing solution can be accessed also by the new customers, without requiring the existence of a previous relation with a bank.

“We bring a novelty on the Romanian tourism market, by implementing a new payment method for holidays, through the online credit offered in partnership with TBI Credit. We expect around 10% of the customers who will buy holidays or other touristic products from Fly-Go.ro this summer, to pay them using this option. According to the feedback we already have, we notice that the new payment method provides the tourists the possibility to access one more holiday in the summer season, which will definitely make their summer be more beautiful” stated Stefano Iervolino, Founder and CEO of Fly Go.

Today, the budget allocated by Romanians for a family summer season ranges between EUR 900 and 1,200. At the same time, the average cost of a city break is EUR 200 per person. According to a Fly Go analysis, the most accessed destinations for the summer seasons continue to be Greece, Turkey and Spain. But the Romanian tourists are beginning to opt more and more for new destinations, in countries and regions such as Croatia, Corsica, Malta, Sardinia and Sicilia, both for stays of 7 to 10 days and for city breaks.

“Together with Fly Go, we offer the market an alternative to the usual payment methods, thus completing the range of the online payments. The digital platform of TBI Credit allows purchasing touristic services in installments, simply and quickly, without any direct interaction with the bank or the agency. The customer needs a device with a video camera and a microphone, the identity card, and in only 10 minutes, he can pay for the desired holiday. Now, it will be much easier for all those who want to travel” stated Ionut Cristea, Head of Business Development Ecommerce, TBI Credit.

Until the end of July, the Fly Go customers will benefit from 0% interest for the payment in 12 installments through the option offered by TBI Credit, for the holiday they choose or for any other product or service purchased on Fly-Go.ro. Also, customers benefit from a 30-day grace period with zero costs for the full payment within this period, and they are also exempted from the service charge of the Fly Go online tourism agency.
